Annual Giving Network (AGN) helps educational institutions and other nonprofits improve their fundraising results. We provide training and tools that empower staff and volunteers to continuously learn, sharpen their skills, and develop more effective strategies.


 

Dan Allenby | Principal & Founder

Dan is an author, speaker, and consultant who has worked with educational institutions for more than 25 years to improve their fundraising results. An internationally-recognized expert on annual giving, he is the recipient of CASE’s prestigious “Crystal Apple” award for teaching excellence. His book Ideas for Annual Giving offers designs for helping organizations increase their levels of sustainable philanthropic support. Dan served as the assistant vice president for annual giving at Boston University during its $1 billion capital campaign, and previously led fundraising and marketing programs at Tufts University, Georgetown University, and the National Geographic Society. He served on the faculty for CASE’s Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising, and chaired its Senior Annual Giving Professionals Conference and Annual Giving Workshop for five collective terms. Brian Allenby | Senior Director of Operations

Brian has more than 18 years of experience in marketing, communications, and fundraising at a variety of non-profit organizations and businesses, ranging from the music industry to transportation advocacy to environmental initiatives. He has worked with AGN from its earliest days and oversees many of its day-to-day operations including membership, marketing, and technology. Brian holds a B.A. in Political Science from American University.

 

Anne Murphy | Director of Resource Development

Anne has more than 15 years of experience in educational fundraising. Before joining AGN, she served as Director of Annual Giving at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, and previously held positions at St. Mark’s School of Texas, the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and the Public Broadcasting Service. Anne holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and an M.P.A. with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University.

 

Jennifer Fillare | Program Coordinator

Jennifer has more than 5 years of experience supporting executive teams and organizing events in the finance, technology, and construction industries. Currently, she supports AGN’s operations, customer service, and event production teams. In addition to her work for AGN, Jennifer is a freelance opera singer and performs regularly in the New York City area. Jennifer holds a B.M. from Stetson University in Vocal Performance and an M.M. in Opera Performance from Queens College.
