Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three to five years of experience in fundraising or closely related/comparable field
  • Defined success in sales, philanthropic fundraising, and project management
  • Available to manage 50% travel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fundraising and philanthropic efforts to include:

  • Reach defined fundraising goals in dollars and members as set by senior level administration
  • Solicitation of constituents for major gifts and benefit fulfillment to active donors and prospects
  • Work off assigned prospect list to evaluate, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors
  • Use data and prospecting tools to find new constituents interested in Appalachian State Athletics
  • Add Value to overarching athletic development unit to successfully reach and grow financial and membership goals on an annual basis
  • Game day responsibilities and coordination
  • Donor/Prospect management reports
  • Athletic Development strategic planning support
  • Cultivate leadership donors/prospects and solicit their support
  • Work with head coaches to ensure annual fundraising initiatives are successful

Suggested Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
