Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama, has an opening for an Alumni Coordinator in the Office of Advancement. The Alumni Coordinator will work to increase and sustain a sense of belonging and connection for BSC’s more than 16,000 graduates.

Description

Working under the Director of Alumni Engagement, the Coordinator will manage digital and in-person events; oversee social media, enewsletters, and other communication; and plan or assist with other initiatives that strengthen affinity and keep alumni informed. The Coordinator will work closely with the Young Alumni Council and will also assist the Advancement team with fundraising events such as Forward Ever Day and Giving Tuesday. The Coordinator will function as part of a highly productive and collaborative team raising friends and funds for BSC.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination is also required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and creativity are essential.
  • Knowledge and experience managing social media platforms is preferred.
  • This position involves some travel and requires a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
