The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a full-time Director of Development (Foundation)in the Foundation office.

Responsibilities: 

Reports to and under the direction of the Foundation Executive Director, the Development Director performs a variety of responsible and complex duties related to the management, operation, and activities/services of the College of the Canyons Foundation, particularly serving as a frontline fundraiser with a focus on raising support through individual, planned giving, and corporate giving. The Director provides leadership through partnering with the other foundation staff members, coordinating and organizing a variety of activities related to supporting the philanthropic efforts of the college. The Director also coordinates, develops and updates prospect listings, donor strategies, and recognition opportunities; identifies, cultivates prospects, stewards donors, and provides programmatic support for fundraising efforts that are deemed Foundation priorities.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Experience:

Three (3) years of full-time equivalent progressively responsible experience and demonstrated success in fundraising with at least two (2) years in a management or supervisory capacity.

Education: 

Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree (60-semester units) required from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s Degree desirable.
