Associate Director, Marketing Annual Fund Program, Alumni Association, to manage the annual fund marketing for graduate school alumni and targeted campaigns; and oversee the Tech Caller Phonathon program and its assistant director.  Will manage marketing campaigns for five graduate schools; work closely with director of graduate alumni and annual giving initiatives and with campus partners, including school development officers and academic department administrators on strategy for an integrated annual fund campaign that includes mail, email, web, and phone; partner with the Alumni Association’s Strategic Communications Marketing group on content, draft appeals, collect edits, and approvals and track and report on results; work with the assistant director who manages the Phonathon Program to draft calling schedules and report results, coordinate with software vendor and MIT’s tech support to ensure the program is fully functional throughout the year and that new features are incorporated, and determine budgets and ensure adherence; oversee pledge recording, acknowledgment, and fulfillment process as well as gift acknowledgments (tax receipts) for all annual gifts; and collect key demographic information for alumni records.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three years’ experience, preferably in annual giving or telemarketing;
  • Experience working with college students;
  • Ability to independently manage projects and work collaboratively with colleagues in other units; team-orientation;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to recruit, motivate, train, and manage professional staff and student employees.

Preferred:

  • Experience with automated telemarketing software, Ruffalo Noel Levitz CAMPUSCALL® preferred;
  • Knowledge of FileMaker.
