Assistant Director, Graduate Students and Affinity Giving, Alumni Association, to develop and manage annual volunteer fund-raising campaigns for current MIT graduate students, Graduate School Exclusive (GSE) alumni, and affinity groups.  Will collaborate with partners across MIT to identify fund-raising priorities and volunteers for graduate student and GSE alumni campaigns; leverage existing Annual Fund initiatives including Giving Tuesday, the MIT 24-Hour Challenge, and Crowdfund MIT to promote annual giving at all levels and contribute to the Annual Fund’s donor and volunteer pipeline; collaborate with staff across the Annual Fund and other divisions of the Alumni Association, Resource Development, and MIT schools and departments; and manage a portfolio of volunteers, prospects, and special projects.

Job Requirements

A bachelor’s degree; two years of relevant experience, preferably managing volunteers in higher education fund-raising; attention to detail; excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills; and diplomacy, tact, and discretion. Seek a self-motivated and proactive team player who excels at relationship building; is a strong manager of time, people, and projects; and works effectively both independently and collaboratively. This is a two-year, temporary position.

Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required.
