Overview

NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Associate Director, Annual Giving. The Associate Director will collaborate with Major Gifts, Alumni Relations, and Communications to develop and execute strategies to support the Stern Annual Fund goal of raising $6 million in unrestricted funds that support Stern initiatives. The selected candidate will lead development and execution of targeted direct marketing appeals in collaboration with the Senior Director and Communications team through all available mediums (e.g. web/digital, email, and phonathon). The Associate Director will develop and manage the tracking, analyzing, and reporting of appeal results, lead projects from start to finish, work with our partners, launch new efforts, and testing, and always improving. The selected candidate will support efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward our 110,000+ alumni, friends, and parents to increase annual unrestricted financial support as we look to expand our growing pipeline of supporters for Stern’s Graduate and Undergraduate students and programs.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree along with 5 years’ of progressively relevant experience or equivalent combination.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, phone, email, and face-to-face communications experience, as well as volunteer and project management experience.
  • Excellent writing, Excel and analytical skills, public speaking, interpersonal, organizational skills, and ability to prepare and manage budgets are also required.
  • Familiarity with higher education, large organizations and/or nonprofit environment are preferred.
