Job Description 

This position is responsible for crafting and disseminating the Alumni Relations message to our constituents (alumni, faculty, staff, students and community), enhancing the image of the Alumni Program and the University through the management of programs that are designed to market the Alumni Association/Alumni Program as well as promote mission of the University and coordinating all constituent communications, monitor the content of the Alumni Association website, and provide assistance with other programs within the Alumni Relations overall program, ensuring that the constituents receive a consistent message.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of design software and other PC-related software. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to proofread and edit documents. Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Level and Type of Experience

Some related experience in graphic or multi-media design, to include creation of written copy/website content. Some professional writing experience to include proofreading and editing.

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification

Demonstrated proficiency in the Adobe Suite of tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and in Web development (HTML, XHTML, and CSS ). Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, or related field. Professional writing experience in the Journalism field. Significant experience with layout and graphic design, including web design.
