|What fiscal year did this effort occur?||2020|
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Moravian College pivoted its day of giving to a week-long campaign called Time of Caring in late March 2020. With a focus on supporting students during the pandemic, the Helping Hounds Fund and Seeds of Hope Fund were created as new areas of support.
|What makes this unique|
For a year, Moravian had planned for a day of giving with specific and strategic marketing materials. With the sudden news of COVID-19 and sending students home to finish out the semester, Moravian quickly pivoted over one weekend to focus on a week-long campaign to support students in the time of need. The College was responsive to our community and two new funds were created that directly related to the pandemic, and are still receiving gifts today.
The campaign raised over $142,000 for the College and Seminary from 350 donors at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
